Richard Paul Evans is a dedicated Christian. So he founded Christmas Box House International, a non-profit organization dedicated to the building of shelter-assessment facilities for abused children. The author has donated his royalties from his five children's books to this foundation.

Dr. David Satcher, the Assistant Secretary for Health and the Surgeon General of the United States. David Satcher, M.D., Ph.D., is the 16th Surgeon General of the United States, sworn in on February 13th, 1998, and is only the second person in history to simultaneously hold the position of Surgeon General and Assistant Secretary for Health. Dr. Satcher is a former Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar and Macy Faculty Fellow. He's a recipient of 18 honorary doctorates, I could go on and on.
