Jesus
Christ: What Does He Mean to You? (04/05/02)

The
Message
By Dr. Robert H. Schuller
Special
Guest
Foster Friess
He is the founder and
the chairman of Friess Associates, an investment firm that manages
more than 6 billion in assets for clients, including the John
Templeton Foundation, Fortune 500 Corporate pension plans, and
even his own high school basketball coach. Business Week called
Foster the industry's longest surviving, successful growth stock
picker.
His firm's flagship,
Brandywine Fund, gained 20% a year in average in the 1990's when
he hit a spot on the Mutual Funds Magazine's list of the best
funds of the decade. Foster serves as President of the Lennin
Foster Friess Family Foundation, a grant making foundation focusing
on small, entrepreneurial, faith based charities in urban environments.
He was the first recipient
of the Muhammad Ali Humanitarian of the Year Award, presented
by The Champ himself, in 1999. In 2000, the Council for National
Policy, honored Foster with the Rich DeVos Free Enterprise Award
for Exceptional Leadership. More recently, Foster was named Humanitarian
of the Year at last year's National Charity Award dinner in Washington,
D.C.
Despite his business
successes, Foster was not complete until he invited Jesus to become
the Chairman of his life. He says that decision saved his marriage,
restored his relationship with his kids, and responsible for all
the blessings in his life.
